The location is ideal for access to ski fields. Good, well priced takeaways opposite the ski hire which was very convenient.

Good inexpensive lodge close to the snowflields. Plenty of dining options in walking distance.

Was a bit cramp, rooms are very small and dated.

Good basic accommodation, comfy beds, warm rooms, clean bathrooms, great kitchen/dining/lounge with games tables and log fire, and stunning views of Ngauruhoe particularly! Wonderful for children who are happy to play with one another!

Nothing really. Being a backpacker style you have to fit in with others and if they make a mess you have to put up with that or clean it up yourself
